summon druids viability in hell...

Just wondered whether a pure summon druide would be viable in hell when stacked out by auras like concentration/thorns/fantasism etc.

I know it wouldn't be a fast killing machine but with enough 'buffs' i wondered whether a pack of wolves with ravens, merc and maybe a golem etc would be ok or whether to just not bother.

seems to be the only skill tree i haven't followed well that and spearazon(not javazon) and a shafeshifter.

thankyou in advance for your feedback|||There are summoner gudes on how to do this.

Its certainly not an effective build, but I am sure people have beaten the game on hell difficulty with it.

Crushing blow solves a lot of problems.

I would be interested to see if a druid could go through the entire game without spending a single skill point (if you were extremely patient and willing to die a bit).|||assuming you're rich gear wise, I don't think it would be hard at all to go through the game without spending any skills. I'm thinking something like passion + dual dream, infinity merc. Or ice instead of passion for an archer.

Getting high enough level to use gear might be a little more annoying, but with twink gear again I doubt it would be too bad.|||Throw in a Reaper's/Guillaume's Face/Fort Might merc and anything is viable... I would not bother though.

If you haven't tried a shapeshifter before a Ribcracker Fury wolf is definitely worth a try :)|||i thought summon dudu is weak or unplayable until i check skill calculator. i tried some very cheap build just with might aura from merc and thorn aura from edge rw on switch. summons on higher levels, especially united with maxed oak are very resistant. with good merc u can pass whole game. although sometimes its slow and problem should be pi monsters, especially dual imunities pi+ ele. i prefer using spirit wolves because they are spamable and i can use them to defense my char or lock some monsters, i can use better auras etc. just in some areas and situations i used dire wolves (especially areas with a lot of "replicating" monsters or resurrect skilled minion bosses) and bear i used very recently in multi-player, against act bosses, ancients or to block or free doors...its a slow but strong build suitable for hc, very funny, very good crowd control. in case of very expensive gear and stacked auras wouldn't be even slow :)

edit: this build is very very favourite like party member. maxed oak, monster blinding ravens and very good tanking minions...|||InsaneWane's Conqueror Cosmo from the SPF

Nudist Summoning Druid.

Completely "Viable!"
