Diablo 2 NPC Popularity Poll

Coming back to D2 in the futuristic year of 2011, I'm feeling a strong sense of nostalgia and fondness for this game that has been around for over a decade. If you're a long-time veteran, chances are, this game holds special place in your heart (all those hours spent killing Meph over and over again... *wipes tears of nostalgia*). One of the things that makes D2 so special is the NPC's, who are VERY low-profile compared to the NPC's of modern games on average, but each and every one of them has garnered a chuckle with their quirky mannerisms and sarcastic quips, and some, like Charsi, have even become a Diablo term.

I think the Japanese do something like this with their anime characters, so I ask you, D2 community, who's your favorite NPC?

My personal vote goes to Hratli, who remains utterly androgynous to me after all these years. Seriously, for once and for all, is Hratli a man or a woman?|||Larzuk sold me a 29x% cruel colossus blade of quickness back in 1.09. That was such a great treasure that I forgave him that he added just one socket to it.|||No Akara?:l There is a place of great evil...

Plus my items don't get "Charsi'd", they get "Akara'd".|||I like to gamble with Gheed.|||Quote:

As much as I love her, I'm going to go with Deckard Cain, just because he's been "that guy" since D1... Here's to Cain playing some ultra hidden power in D3 that no one saw coming :O|||Quote:

Based on the released material thus far, I'm inclined to believe that the "ultra hidden power" is more like Alzheimers...

Haha the cooking barb is winning. He's finally getting some spotlight after all those years of just tacitly cooking whatever that animal is (I think it looks like one of those annoying jumping monsters all over Act 2. Yummy).|||Hey, I wish you people would just leave me alone!|||I wish people would make their "I need postcount 10 for PMs" posts elsewhere. Maybe the mods should delete all their spam posts, but that would feel too much like being a policeman in a police state. So I guess I will just rant about it to compensate my frustration.|||how bout that guy on the docks in Act 3 who carries a sword and just walks around like he's guarding Cain

always liked that guy
