first time installed diablo 2:LOD on windows 7, but menu screen doesnt work

the cinematics and all the stuff in the star-up works, but when i get to the menu screen, only a quarter of it shows on the top left. The rest of the screen is black. how do i fix this?

*edit- srry for double post|||What version of Windows (or Mac) are you using?

Also, go to your D2 installation directory and run D2VidTst. Change it to DirectDraw if it isn't already and give that a try.|||Hi,

im running on a windows 7 640bit ultimate. I've ran D2VidTst multiple times and still no go...=( Running on DirectDraw only seems to make the menuscreen all pixelated.

It's really weird, because when i take a screenshot of my computer screen, the menu in the picture seems to be completely normal (look at attachments). Forsome reason, the screen has sort of shifted to the top left so that i can only see the bottom right corner of the screen..|||I don't even try to play D2 in windows 7.

I have a dual install with xp on the small partition for older games like D2.|||Try launching D2 in windowed mode, it solves most problems like these.

Right click your Diablo 2 Icon, and select "Properties"

Go to the "Shortcut" tab, and in the box next to target, add -w, then hit apply.

It should then read something like this, although it may differ slightly depending

on how your windows is set up, or where d2 is installed:

Code:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\Diablo2.exe" -w

Basically you're just adding a space, then a "-" followed by a "w"

This will probably be the most simple fix if you just want to play D2.|||Thanks guys. I guess windowed mode is my last option
