i had on me just a wand and about, 3 skeletons, as i am a necro summoner.
so i defeated a few monsters before a totally out-of-nowhere unique wand pops up!
so i identify it, and none other than the Torch of Iro pops up.
now im wondering if this is a glitch, or if im incredibly lucky.
seeing as how the stats for this wand are:
One-Hand Damage: 2 To 4 (3 Avg)
Required Level: 5
Durability: 15
Base Weapon Speed: [0]
+50% Damage To Undead
Adds 5-9 Fire Damage
+1 To Necromancer Skill Levels
+10 To Energy
Regenerate Mana 5%
6% Life Stolen Per Hit
+3 To Light Radius
I feel like it was a little overpowered for what i was doing in act 1.|||You can shop for +3 raise skeleton/+3 skeleton mastery wands with a L1 character (and buy it if you passed a bit gold to him), so I don't think that it's overpowered.
It's no glitch. The Torch of Iro is from a low TC and has a low qlvl, so it can drop in the earliest part of the game.|||i just find the +1 to ALL necromancer skills a little overwhelming.

do the melee aspects of it make up for its relative lack of skills? the life leech is kind of a joke when you're doing such little physical, but the fire damage could help...course you could get the same or better using gems i guess.|||It's not a glitch but a lucky find :)|||That's right. You usually don't have a high MF bonus when being in those areas where uniques like that one have a decent chance to drop.|||Lucky indeed. I've only ever found 1 Torch of Iro before in my D2 gaming history, due to it being at the bottom of the unique hierarchy. It's a nice item at low levels.|||Before level 20 or so, plain +3 raise skeleton wand is better than +1 skills and costs only few gold (you can actually wait for any wand with staffmods to pop up, sell it vs 5k gold and buy +3 raise skeleton, all in act1).
