So I'm building a summoner to uber with and was wondering what kind of builds you all recommend. Currently I have a Beast, shako, homonculus, marrowwalks, enigma, +2necro skills ammy with res, SoJ, BK, Arachnid mesh, an nsum GC and my merc has an insight, bramble, and andys. I want to get a pride for my merc instead of insight but can't yet afford it. Is bramble a good item for an Nsum army? When I can afford it would lastwish be better than beast? My merc is NM offensive which gives might aura, but I have no idea what level. Anyway any help would be appreciated.|||There's actually a necro forum here, but anyway bramble isn't that great for a summoner. Your merc doesn't have any crushing blow. Duress is super cheap and will let him kill bosses. Obedience is super cheap and will let him kill bosses, if you can do without insight, or get insight on an iron golem.
Obedience + andy/gaze + fortitude (insight iron golem) is pretty good.
If you don't want to use iron golem:
Insight + g's face + fortitude (but you'll have to feed him potions) or
Insight + andy/gaze + duress (only 15% crushing though)
If you're rich:
Infinity + andy + fortitude (insight iron golem) is the way to go, IMHO.
Against bosses the merc does essentially all the damage. Against regular monsters the merc makes some corpses for you to corpse explode. In either case the skeletons primarily tank damage. They deal some, but it's pretty pathetic.|||So you don't like the Pride idea? I figured it would be great because gives a ton of damage to merc and increases the dmg of all of my minions.|||I agree with magicrectangle.
Also, Pride has Freezes target mod so getting that first corpse is more difficult.|||Quote:

Merc cant kill anything with pride so you generally trade tons of damage from merc to skellies damage increase.
