fixing weapons and ilevel for larzuk question

Hi, the horadric cube recipe to remove the cracked/damaged/etc... mod from a weapon reduces the ilevel to 1 right? (eld + chipped gem + low quality item)

does this mean if I want to repair a cracked berserker axe or phaseblade and use the larzuk socket quest, it will only get like one socket since the ilevel is only 1?

can this be used as a scam? I have repaired several items but luckily I haven't sold any so I just wanted to be sure.

Here is the information on iLevels and sockets.

BA has a minimum of 4 and PB has a minimum of 3 if you take them to larzuk.

thanks!!|||Eth 4 socket BAs a can be used for Oath and 3 socket PBs are good for Crescent Moon. They are are low-budget or mid-leveling weapons and thus of limited value, but fixed PBs and eth BAs aren't worthless.|||ahh thanks Kestegs and Kris ^^ that helps a lot|||Yeah, I should have clarified that there is nothing wrong with trading them, as long as your honest, but rolling them yourself is a good idea anyways.
