do elemental modifiers apply to auras?

[:1]I always thought auras were treated differently then elemental skills.

Does the holy freeze aura in the doom runeword, for example, benefit from the -cold resistance in that same runeword?|||Yes it's elemental damage after all. I'm not sure if having doom rw and a blue rainbow facet will increase the auras potency if you're not a paladin though.

I do know facets work for proc skills like rift like that though.|||Facets and masteries work on auras even if the wielder isn't a paladin. That's why aura sorcs are pretty nasty.|||The only way that Holy Freeze differs from other elemental skills is that its slowing effect is not considered a Chill, which means that it will affect cold-immune monsters.

Cold facets wont increase the efficacy of the chill, though, just the pulse and weapon-added damage.|||Thanks for the edumacation, guys.
