GG battle.net

battle.net has made playing this game basically retarded with their tempbans. You can throw on a bot, and leave it on for days without getting tempbanned, but god forbid you join a couple of trading games to sell some items, or a couple of trav runs to level up, b.net must punish you. retards.|||It does seem that the system doesn't impede the botters at all, doesn't it.|||Alot of people seem to think that the temporary ban functionality with Battle.net was aimed specifically at bots, when this isn't entirely the case. It was created primarily to reduce server strain and while it's true that bots were one of the main causes of this strain, players were as well.

I'm not sure how many of you remember the days when we had to sit in a queue just to create a new game. The temporary ban feature was designed to stop this, and force people to spend more time in existing games rather than hopping in and out of games/characters quite quickly.

It's unfortunate that bots are able to adapt to this feature though, yet human players still struggle.|||Just happened today: I have static IP so noone else can use bnet with my IP, also I havent played for 12 hours at least. I turned on 2 pcs, logged into the game with one and entered my acc/pass on another PC to realize I am already tempbanned there. Oh come on... :)|||There are several actions which trigger temp bans: moving "too fast" between game/chat servers and creating too many games (with the same license key) within a short time frame. Almost all problems are fixed by simply slowing down. Wait for the games list to refresh several times before creating/joining a game.|||Bnet was always a killer for me, kept getting spammed and lists wouldn't load... Had so many problems... Wish Bnet took the time to actually fix the problems with the old bnet instead of releasing a new one which in many ways is good but still has more problems then the old one :/|||Quote:

Are you really sure that it is connected to the license key? I have 2 computers running from the same ip, and sometimes I do a lot of fast runs, when i get banned i just unplug my 4g modem, which will give me a new ip, never had any problems.|||Quote:

When the license key flag gets triggered, it applies the temp ban to the IP address(s) used by the offending license key(s). You can avoid IP bans completely by swapping license keys proactively.|||it's incredibly difficult to force myself to type slowly. I tell myself to do it, but my hands just want to be fast.

Granted I could type fast and then just wait to hit enter, but that's even harder.

Hopping between games too quickly, bah!|||How long are those tempbans?
